François Farrugia a is a French-Irish producer with a vast range of expertise that combines artistic vision and business experience.
On an artistic level, after studying music composition in Paris, François started in the industry as a film music composer and was involved in several projects for TV and cinema.
His involvement in films, combined with his passion for stories, led him to study scriptwriting techniques. He wrote his first TV drama for France Television in 2008. Since then, François has written several screenplays (shorts and feature films) and has continued his studies, graduated in 2014 in Master in Screenwriting at the IADT National Film School.
On the business side, François is the owner and founder of MovieSoft, a leading company specialised in the field of pre-production (scriptwriting and scheduling software) after several years as the Final Draft distributor in Europe.
Since 2011, François has been a member of Filmbase Board of Directors.
In 2013, François created Belleville Pictures to develop Irish based projects co-financed with French Partners/Fundings.
